New Filipiniana Section
06 September 2002
Kasal.com's
Filipiniana section is now enriched with more information
and photos as the site partners with the Filipinas Heritage
Library.
The
Filipinas Heritage Library, a division of the Ayala Foundation,
Inc. (AFI), is a one-stop electronic research center in the
Philippines. The Library houses over 10,000 contemporary volumes
on Philippine history, art, language, religion and the social
sciences, and over 2,000 rare titles, rare books on microfiche,
and an extensive library of slides and photographs.
The
Filipiniana section will now be updated monthly with relevant
articles and photos on the Filipino wedding based from the
library's Filipiniana collection of books, manuscripts, periodicals,
photographs, slides, and transparencies on Philippine history
and culture.
The
memorandum of agreement was signed on July 15, 2002, by FHL
director Maritoni C. Ortigas, FHL Library Coordinator Mary
Rose V. Loria, and Kasal.com Head Mathel B. Ong.
