Ayra Joaquin (Lead Female Vocalist) and Carlo Bernal (Lead Male Vocalist) both traversed the route of singing contests such as Eat Bulaga’s Birit Queen and MTB’s Starquest, before landing the band trail. A graduate of Mass Communications, Ayra finds expression for her dream of reaching out to the public, performing RnB, Bossa and Jazz in five-star hotels such as Makati Shangrila, Philippine Plaza and Hotel Intercontinental. Carlo, on the other hand, is a thespian who has delivered commendable performances in local theater productions. Frequent guests of Gilligan’s in Makati and Alabang, as well as of Casino Filipino in Roxas Boulevard, Paranaque and Tagaytay Highlands have also been enamored with his witty, comic injections during sets.

This tandem is complemented by an indefatigable team of brilliant musicians.

One might not have faulted Henry Sunga (Guitarist) for focusing on technical guitar-playing for some time, being a graduate of Electrical Engineering. Initially consumed by the methodical, he was eventually lured from Classical into RnB and Jazz.

Shaun Bunyi (Drummer & Percussion) started playing the drums in a band through high school and college. Conventional as his story may seem, it was punctuated by tremendous work and incomparable dedication.

The charismatic person he is, Vernal Oruga (Saxophonist) is, himself, drawn to the enchanting interlude of the saxophone, flute and clarinette.

Together, the musical ingenuity of On Air Band makes for a compelling and infectious performance that will enthrall any audience.
