PROFILE

Katherine Sol-Rodriguez was a former Senior Manager - Branch Head from International Exchange Bank, now Union Bank of the Philippines. Her consistent professional achievements were the ladder to her successful banking career. With great interest on branch based and bank wide extra curricular activities, her creativity and talent on cosmetics, wigs, costumes and stage productions expanded her artistic reputation. This was her turning point to pursue her passion in the field of arts.

Having a Bachelors Degree and Masters in Business Administration from University of the East, Manila, she decided to prepare herself more for a big career shift. She attended trainings and workshops seriously, here and abroad, to enhance confidence, knowledge and skills in her new chosen field.

Ms. Kay, as she is fondly called, was sent by Temptu Pro Philippines to TEMPTU PRO NEW YORK, USA and TEMPTU PRO, LOS ANGELES, USA for an advance training in Airbrush Makeup Technology. She is now the SPOKESPERSON, CHIEF AIRBRUSH MAKEUP TRAINER OF TEMPTU PRO PHILIPPINES. She teaches Airbrush Makeup Technology and Traditional Makeup.

She attended the makeup world's biggest gathering, INTERNATIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST TRADESHOW . IMATS NEW YORK 2011 in Soho, Mercier, New York, USA and IMATS LOS ANGELES '09 in Pasadena Convention Center in California, U.S.A. She was very fortunate to be trained by the best makeup artists in the world and international educators namely: KRISTINA DUFF of TEMPTU AIRBRUSH MAKEUP; DANY SANZ AND KEVIN-JAMES BENNETT of MAKEUP FOREVER; EVE PEARL of EVE PEARL COSMETICS; DOMINIC CRUZ of KRYOLAN; DICK SMITH of HOLLYWOOD; TAYLOR CHANG-BABAIAN of ASIAN FACES; ANABEL VARGAS of ROYAL BRUSH; AND JOHN STAPLETON of M.A.C.

She won HONORABLE MENTION in the INTERNATIONAL HAIR & MAKEUP OLYMPICS in APHCA '09 (ASIA PACIFIC HAIR & COSMETOLOGY ASSOCIATION), BRIDAL HAIR & MAKEUP CATEGORY. And this was featured at TV PATROL NEWS, ABS-CBN NEWS COVERAGE.

She won MOST OUTSTANDING ARTIST in HAIR ASIA '09, PROGRESSIVE EVENING HAIRSTYLE AND MAKEUP CATEGORY.

She won 2ND RUNNER-UP in PICA 2010, PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL COSMETOLOGISTS ASSOCIATION's EVENING MAKEUP COMPETITION.

She has done HIGH DEFINITION / AIRBRUSH MAKEUP for TV personalities in ABS-CBN SHOWS like "THE SINGING BEE", "BANANA SPLIT", "YOUR SONG (SOMEONE TO LOVE)", "MY PRECIOUS HEART (SOMEWHERE IN MY HEART)", "SHOWTIME" and "CHRISTMAS STATION ID '09 - STAR NG PASKO"

She did several commercials and station ID projects for ABS-CBN GLOBAL, The Filipino Channel (TFC) . Aside from music video and local TV commercials, she also does print ads for magazines and billboards.

Among her billboard projects are in North Luzon Expressway, for AMIRA WHITENING CREAM, THERMAFRAX and E-SCULPT ULTRA for Ederm Center.

For TV guesting, she was interviewed live at GMA 7 morning show, UNANG HIRIT. She did a show case of HOLLYWOOD STYLE MAKEUP using High Definition and Airbrush. She also does some celebrity makeup for TV 5 Celebrity PRINCESS RYAN, and GMA 7 Talent Center like the world famous boxer champion, NONITO DONAIRE JR., and lovely wife RACHEL DONAIRE to name a few.

She also guested on CITYSCAPE of ANC Cable Channel , SHE KA of NBN Channel 4 and THE BEAT of QTV 11 as the SPOKESPERSON AND CHIEF MAKEUP ARTIST of TEMPTU PRO. Her ability to translate artistic vision effectively and her love for details aimed her to be an AIRBRUSH MAKEUP SPECIALIST. Photo shoots, weddings and pre-nuptials are among her favorites.

She did a BRIDAL MAKEUP EXHIBIT in SM MEGAMALL, MEGA TRADEHALL with a fashion show from OKASYON by MICHELLE LIM. Several fashion shows followed like Randy Oritz' Metro Wear, SM Accessories, Jun-jun Ablaza's Wild Things, and Michele Sison's Valii Time Pieces Collection 2011.

International cosmetic brands like CLARINS and LAURA MERCIER engaged her as a Guest Makeup Artist for their cosmetic and skin care demonstrations at RUSTAN'S Makati for the Banker's Night Event. She provides MAKEUP TRAINING, CUSTOMER SERVICE WORKSHOP and PERSONALITY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM to corporate clients.

MAQUILLAGE PROFESSIONEL included her work of art in C'est Moi, a photo exhibit in Serendra. MAKEUP FOREVER engaged her to special projects because of her expertise in prosthetics, runway shows, photo shoots and stage plays. Part of her pro team project was the fashion show of Randy Ortiz for Metro Wear. Ms.
