Once again, Cebu proved why the Queen of the South is one of the premier wedding destinations in the country as Cebu City hosted the last leg of Kasalang Filipino 2009 12-city wedding fair and exhibit last November 13 – 15, 2009 at the Ayala Center Cebu in Cebu City.

Co-presented by Ayala Center Cebu, Kasal.com, and ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, Kasalang Filipino 2009 showcased the best wedding products and services of Cebu City. The three-day wedding fair and exhibit coincided with Ayala Center Cebu’s 15th Anniversary and Mall-wide sale.
Aside from great discounts offered by various shops in the mall, numerous activities were also staged throughout the wedding fair. Seventeen aspiring and professional make-up artists showed off their creativity and skills at the Ever Bilena Gandang Pinay Bridal Make-up Competition. In the end, Nicolito Laurel was declared winner and won for himself the grand prize of P20, 000.00 worth of Ever Bilena products, 1-year Gold Priority Listing advertising in Kasal.com worth P4, 000.00, and a trophy. He will also be featured in the company’s various ad campaigns.

Local bands serenaded guests and soon-to-wed couples with their rendition of popular wedding songs. Renowned vocal group The Company capped the first day of the wedding fair with a mini-concert held at The Terraces.
The following day, members of the Cebu Fashion Designers Alliance (CFDA) and Fashion Council of Cebu showcased their latest bridal and entourage collection on the runway, which solicited cheers and admiration from the crowd. The day was highlighted with the performance of Freestyle at The Terraces. The last day of Kasalang Filipino 2009 was highlighted with the special presentation of multi-awarded singer Bituin Escalante at the Activity Center.
All the couples that attended the event received free gift packs while lucky couples received special gift packs, gift certificates, and honeymoon package from event sponsors.
