According to a report, the proposal took place while the couple was making roast chicken.
The couple made their first official engagement appearance outside of the Sunken Gardens at Kensington Palace, where they also had a few engagement photos taken.

Markle and her engagement ring stood out during the appearance. The ring itself was designed by Prince Harry using diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal collection.
