The thing that really makes it (Cebuano tradition with respect to marriage) a breed distinct and apart from all other majority ethnic group practices is the so called Balusay and Luka-Ay, or “marriage by pair.” The first is usually a marriage between a brother and sister tandem of one family and a brother and sister team of another family, while the second is one between two brothers of one family and two sisters of another family.
