If stag parties seem to have a life of their own and few preparations are needed, mostly “spur-of-the-moment,” bridal showers, on the other hand, are “grand” productions.
Bridal showers let the bride know that the women closest to her are there to celebrate and support her in the most important moments of her life.
A lot of concerns have to be taken into consideration, particularly on how to get together women of various personalities and generations. Some games or ideas may be too stiff even to the point of putting the bride’s great aunt to sleep while other ideas may just be too gregarious and tiring even for the groom’s metallic-clad cousin.
The following are some ideas, which you and your group can discuss to make that bridal shower something that the bride-to-be will surely treasure.
But before giving you the games, there are some things you have to remember before starting your bridal shower:
- Prepare the guest list and make sure that everybody has confirmed her attendance to the shower. Put together a list that would include the female family members and close friends of both the bride and groom. To really have that spirit of togetherness, enlist their help.
- Make sure that there is an itinerary of the shower and assign a facilitator for each game. You may feel that this is too much for what is supposed to be a fun party but you’ll be glad that everything is organized especially when everybody is having so much fun and you have to keep the momentum going.
- Make sure that the materials for the games and the gifts are all ready. Don’t forget to bring along a video camera or a regular camera to preserve those funny moments.
- Have Fun!

These are only some of the game ideas that you can use for the bridal shower, more ideas can be researched on the Internet. The most important thing to remember is that bridal showers have been done to let the bride know that the women closest to her are there to celebrate and support her as she is about to go though one of the most important moments of her life.
