Weddings never fail to surprise us. Just when we thought we’ve already seen everything, another couple comes up with something unique and breathtaking, suddenly leaving us enthralled. Such is the case of the union of Folarin Alakija, son of Nigerian oil tycoon Folorunso Alakija, and Iranian model Nazanin Jafarian Ghaissarifar.
The wedding was held at the Blenheim Palace, a historic Oxfordshire venue earlier this month.
Apart from this wonderful venue, there are more things to love about this wedding. These include a 3.6-meter cake made by Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium. Hundreds of roses and ornate doves were used to enliven the said creation.
Celebrity florist Jeff Leatham transformed The Woodstock, Winston Churchill’s ancestral home, into “heaven on Earth” using a million flowers. Jeff was with 30 staff members to complete the setup.
Searcys, the accredited caterer The Orangery at Blenheim Palace, prepared a feast for everyone.
Of course, the wedding was also star-studded. In fact, model Shanina Shaik was one of its celebrity guests. Sources also said that hundreds of guests traveled from Nigeria to take part in this event.
The entire wedding is believed to have costed £5 million. Many also consider it as “the wedding of the century”.
