A wedding fair roadshow slated in the country’s top 10 cities from February to October is boosting the Philippines’ image as a global wedding and honeymoon destination.
Dubbed “Kasalang Filipino,” the event will showcase the different wedding customs and traditions in each of the 10 cities and surrounding localities, promote their products and services, highlight the latest trends in wedding fashion and practices, and serve as a tourist attraction itself to both the local and global market.
Kasalang Filipino is being promoted globally through ABS-CBN and Kasal.com, the event’s presentors.
“Now on its third year, Kasalang Filipino 2007 is like a national celebration of Filipino wedding artistry in its finest tradition – from food to flowers, fabric, and festivities,” said Kasal.com head Mathel Ong.
The Philippines’ rise as a global wedding and honeymoon destination has been getting a big boost from Kasal.com, which is being accessed by people from all over the world, a good number of them joining the Kasalang Filipino during its 10-city, cross-country, year-round run.
