General Santos City, the Tuna Capital of the Philippines, aims to become the wedding capital of Central Mindanao as local wedding suppliers from GenSan and other provinces team up to showcase their wedding products and services a the Kasalan sa GenSan wedding fair and exhibit slated on June 19 – 21, 2009 at the Gaisano Mall of Gensan in General Santos City.

Kasalan sa GenSan wedding fair is the seventh leg of Kasalang Filipino 2009, co-presented by Kasal.com, ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, Gaisano Mall of GenSan, and E2 Concepts and supported by Asia United Bank, FluidLight Studios, and Gregoria Printing Press.
Kasalang Filipino 2009 is a nationwide wedding fair road show which ties twelve (12) Philippine cities with one goal of promoting the local wedding industry. The following are the 12 cities of the 2009 road show – San Pablo, Tagaytay, Tarlac, Dagupan, Legazpi, Dumaguete, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Bacolod, Manila, and Cebu. This year’s Kasalang Filipino is endorsed by the Department of Tourism.
Numerous activities have been lined up for attending couples such as talks on wedding planning and wedding trends, table setting and floral decoration competition, and the Ever Bilena Gandang Pinay Bridal Make up competition. There will also be a mock Muslim wedding ceremony to be staged by Sining Kabpapagariya and Kasalan sa GenSan wedding fashion show featuring Traditional, Modern Filipino, and Muslim wedding gowns and attire. Lucky couples will get a chance to win free wedding giveaways, honeymoon packages, and appliance showcases during the bridal fair.
