On the 2012 edition of its Bridal Fair franchise, organizers of Weddings & Debuts to be held on Feb 17, 18, & 19 at the SM Megatrade Halls 1, 2 & 3 will prove to clients that it means to offer a bigger and better event every year. Helping them realize this promise are sponsors who share the same dreams and ambitions – wedding gown specialist Edd Sy, Nice Print digital photo and video services, AMI Jewels, and Juan Carlo the Caterer.

When events organizer The Wedding Library thought of going into fair exhibition of everything that had to do with weddings, that was way back in 1994. At that time, they were only in the floral industry. But the organizers had bigger dreams. They knew that weddings deserved bigger exposure for its bigger market potential. They had their sights on SM Megatrade. But they didn’t want to go into anything unprepared.

They were cautious. Ultimately, they picked the new Big Tent in QC as venue, got exhibitors to book, and the result was success. The Wedding Library organizer interpreted that to mean a go signal that they were ready for SM Megatrade! Being cautious does help. It does prove as Shakespeare said “Discretion is the Better part of Valor”.

Since then, all efforts, not to mention money spent to attract clients have paid off. Two years ago, they started booking all Three Halls of the Megatrade, and got 300 of the busiest and well known players in the wedding industry. In 2011, they started with sponsors. In Weddings & Debuts 2012 Bridal Fair, from February 17 to 19, once again they will take over all Three Halls of the Megatrade, and who knows what other surprises they will spring on the public.

For the past 15 years, Edd Sy, one of the sponsors has been designing beautiful clothes and wedding gowns with such dedication from designing to fitting the finished gown that he has won the loyalty of many clients. This trait has given him an edge over others, plus his naturally jolly personality. Among those who have worn his collection on teleseryes are Marian Rivera, Angel Locsin, Jennelyn Mercado, Valerie Concepcion, Nadine Samonte, Sam Milby, and JC de Vera.

Nice Print is one of the fastest growing providers of digital photo and video services that works with clockwork precision, and in the span of five years has expanded to a pool of 45 skilled photographers, videographers, film editors and layout artists. Proprietor Charisse Tinio still remembers how she started with one photographer, one videographer, and one assistant. Today, with such coverage for celebrity weddings of Ogie and Regine, John and Priscilla, Kyla, Juris, Jenny Miller, Jenny Hernandez, Say Alonzo and Love Añover, small wonder Nice Print is getting to be known as Wedding Photographer to the Stars.

Conservative jeweler AMI Jewels has always believed that their works of art will speak for themselves. True enough, despite being publicity shy, the brand has accumulated loyal clients through the years and has become a name to reckon with. However, it quickly becomes obvious they have been well trained in gemology when it comes to discussing trends in the industry. Apart from wedding and engagement rings, AMI Jewels also offers other pieces like bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and brooches for every occasion.

Ever since Alex Michael del Rosario put up his catering service in Nov. 11, 1995 after leaving a career in Saudi Arabia, he and his wife Teresita Macatangay settled for good in Batangas and started operations on Juan Carlo the Caterer, named after his first born. Today, the company is synonymous with great food and superb service where catering becomes and art and every project a masterpiece.
