“Happy 2nd anniversary to my fiancé @lloydtylee. Looking forward to forever with you. ♥ “

“A single step on a journey towards forever… ♥ “
– Lloyd
Last June 16, 2013, Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup and her beau Filipino-Chinese businessman Lloyd Lee made their 2nd anniversary more memorable by holding their formal engagement party on the very same day.
The two met serendipitously during Shamcey’s birthday party last May 2011. Followed by a ‘meeting’ on Facebook, a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ movie date, and Lloyd’s persistent efforts to court her, Shamcey gave her sweet ‘yes’ more than a month after.
There were already rumors of their impending engagement since last year but the couple tried to keep things private as well as maybe heed certain Filipino-Chinese wedding practices.
From identifying the wedding date to Kan Chiu practices (The Wedding) to post wedding rituals, celebration of Filipino-Chinese Weddings is replete with colorful, meaningful traditions. Shamcey and Lloyd’s engagement party in EDSA Shangri-la Hotel followed the rituals of Chinese engagement ceremony, Ting Hun. Injecting the bride’s taste, the occasion was styled like an English tea party in pastel hues. Nice Print Photography, already a byword in Celebrity Weddings, covered the event.

The two are set to tie the knot on December 29.
